Douglas County Employment within the fire service is highly competitive. Douglas County Fire Department prides itself in providing the highest level of fire protection and patient care. Employees at Douglas County Fire Department work a rotating 24 hour on, 48 hour off schedule, and must be able to work effectively within a team dynamic.
